Mayoral forum to be hosted at Lay Park on Saturday

In the coming months, we mayoral candidates will step up and qualify to run for Mayor of Athens. And in four days, we will step up to the plate as we attend the second forum of the election season. I am the longest-standing candidate in this race. I have walked along many of the roads that we pass by on a daily basis. I have spoken to many residents of this city, most of whom have expressed their belief that local government could be doing a better job at improving our community.
There were no blinding revelations rising out of these conversations. The openness of our citizens helped me to understand their situations and recurring dissatisfaction with local government and to understand more about what I need to do if elected in November. More importantly, they expressed concerns that need to be handled by whoever is elected in November.
