Shinholser campaign launches new 2010 website
12-14-2009

The campaign for Athens mayoral candidate Brandon Shinholser officially launched its new website today at www.brandon2010.com.

The newly designed Brandon for Athens online campaign headquarters is a great method to help Brandon and his committee connect with others while moving his mayoral bid into the 2010 election year. The website helps supporters organize, and it gives those who may have not heard of Brandon a chance to learn about where he stands on the most important issues facing Athens-Clarke County.

Features on the new website include blog posts, social networking collaboration, volunteer sign-up, fundraising capabilities, news archives, video capabilities for online commercials and users can register personal accounts within the website to organize online.

“The new website is easy to navigate and gives fellow Athenians a way to connect with my staff and me, as well as a tool to distinguish me from the other candidates,” said Brandon.

The new organizing tools will be activated at midnight on January 1, 2010; however, users can already register an account. “Until January 1, those who register an account on the website will be directed to a default page,” says Brandon.

”As we move our campaign into the election year, we wanted to have the best tools available to help our supporters organize their efforts and to educate those who don’t know much about us,” said Brandon, “and I think the new features of our site definitely meet that demand. This isn’t a re-launch of the campaign, but it is instead moving our campaign to the next level,” says Andrew Watts, senior campaign advisor to Shinholser.

The committee invites everyone to check out the newly revamped site and send any comments to staff@brandon2010.com.
